A piece of American History traditionally takes place in the historic silver mining town of Calico Ghost Town every Presidents Day weekend. On Febuary 17, 18, 19, 2007 the north assaults the town defended by the south.
Imagine yourself in an occupied town under martial law. Canon fortifications, hospital encampments, Robert E. Lee's makshift headquarters and military drills are all part of the weekend town life. Abe Lincoln will perform the Gettysburg Address on Sunday. General Grant and troops will be arriving in town on train and on foot.
Step back more than 100 years to this authentic Civil War re-enactment in Calico Ghost Town.
